Frequently Asked Questions:
What’s the Deal with Insurance?
Can I use my insurance plan?
Yes! I currently accept Aetna, Horizon, and Cigna insurance plans.
Through my free 15-minute consultation, I can help you determine what your insurance coverage would be, estimated copay and answer any questions you may have about affordability.
What if you don’t take my insurance?
Not a problem! Most insurance plans offer out of network benefits.
If you have an insurance carrier I am not currently in network with, I am happy to provide a superbill that assists with reimbursement from your insurance for out of network providers.
Please feel free to reach out if you would like to use an insurance provider not listed as there are other options available.
I also happily provide sliding scale services upon request to ease financial burden.
What if I prefer self-pay?
Absolutely!
Many prefer self-pay as it increases the flexibility of therapeutic services outside of constraints set by traditional insurance carriers.
I currently offer self-pay for both individual and couples therapy.
If you are unsure if self-pay is for you, please reach out for consultation so that we can find the right financial fit for you.

What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help process and heal from trauma. Using bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps the brain reprocess distressing memories, reducing their intensity and emotional impact.
The following is a summary from the International Association for EMDR (EMDRIA) website:
EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.
Ongoing research supports positive clinical outcomes, showing EMDR therapy as a helpful treatment for disorders such as anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, addictions, and other distressing life experiences.
