FAQs

Do you Accept Insurance?

1

I am currently in network with Aetna, Horizon BCBS, and Cigna. I am also an EAP provider through Lyra Health.

If your insurance is not listed, please reach out for confirmation as there are some plans I am able to accept underneath the larger commercial insurance companies (example - Meritain insurance is accepted under Aetna Health).

What if I don’t have insurance, or I have insurace that is not listed?

2

Not a problem! Most insurance plans offer out of network benefits.

If you have an insurance carrier I am not currently in network with, I am happy to provide a superbill that assists with reimbursement from your insurance for out of network providers.

Please feel free to reach out if you would like to use an insurance provider not listed as there are other options available.

I also happily provide sliding scale services upon request to ease financial burden.

What if I prefer self-pay?

3

Many prefer self-pay as it increases the flexibility of therapeutic services outside of constraints set by traditional insurance carriers.

I currently offer self-pay for both individual and couples therapy.

If you are unsure if self-pay is for you, please reach out for a free consultation so that we can find the right financial fit for you.

How can therapy help me?

4

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

Unlike talking to a friend, therapy offers an objective perspective from a continuously trained professional who can help you identify patterns, build lifelong coping strategies, and address challenges with evidence-based approaches.

It’s a place where the focus is fully on you, your growth, healing, and goals.

Therapy isn’t just about solving problems; it’s also about uncovering strengths, fostering resilience, and creating meaningful change in your life.

What is virtual therapy?

5

Virtual therapy offers the flexibility of meeting from your own space while still engaging in meaningful work.

For many adults’ navigating trauma and attachment patterns, feeling physically comfortable can make it easier to explore vulnerable material. Without the added stress of commuting, therapy becomes something that fits into your life, not something you have to rearrange your life around.

Why Clients Choose Virtual Sessions:

- Greater flexibility with work and personal schedules

- Privacy and discretion

- No commute or waiting rooms

- Access to treatment anywhere in New Jersey

- Consistency during busy or transitional seasons

Attachment healing requires steady connection. Virtual sessions make that consistency more sustainable.

Is virtual therapy as effective as in person?

6

Research consistently shows that virtual therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.

The therapeutic relationship, which is central to attachment work, remains strong and meaningful through secure video sessions.

Many clients find that once they begin, the experience feels natural and engaging.

If you have specific concerns or questions about engaging in virtual therapy, please reach out for a free consultation so that I can provide insight and guidance.

How do I know I am ready for therapy?

7

You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy, readiness often comes from noticing that something isn’t working for you or that you’d like support navigating life’s challenges. Many feel that they have to wait until it gets “bad enough” to reach out which often prolongs suffering.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about exploring your thoughts and emotions, therapy can be a helpful and supportive at any stage of life.

What should I expect for the first session?

8

Your first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and discuss your goals for therapy. We’ll explore your experiences, personal history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve.

You can expect a collaborative, judgment-free environment where you’ll feel heard and supported, as we start shaping a plan that works for you.

It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous prior to meeting, the process of therapy begins with a foundation of safety which is built starting in the first session.
